With the MS10 height stands, the indicator and measuring surface move together, thus minimizing gaging inaccuracies.
Another unique feature is the indicator remains permanently mounted at the top of the column. With the gage at this fixed height, the operators viewing position remains constant. Three (3) standard column heights are available: one can be selectd for the optimum viewing position.
The indicator mount is provided with both stem mounting and standard lug mounting. This allows gages having either flat backs or lug backs to be used on these height stands.
The hardened, ground, and lapped platen is adjustable vertically on the column to suit various thicknesses of work. A sliding collar on the column can be locked in position below the platen mount and permits rotating of the platen mount.
Eight (8) standard models are available, featuring a choice of 3 column heights, 4 platen sizes and 3 throat depths. With modular construction and utlilizing the various columns, platens, and throat depths, special height stands can be created to suit special requirements.
